Christina Curtis is an Onboarding Specialist here at Sesame, but at Sesame this team is referred to as the Jedi. Christina has been trained to guard peace and justice in the universe. She’s been a part of the Sesame team for over 6 years!
We’ve sat down with Christina and asked her a little about herself and her experience at Sesame, check it out.
Sesame: Before working at Sesame, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
CC: Before working at Sesame, I worked for Western Washington University as an Admissions Advisor. I travelled around western Washington to different high schools helping students apply for college. Super fun!
Sesame: What is your proudest moment at Sesame?
CC: I’d have to say that in general being a part of the Sesame family from the early years till now has been very rewarding. I’ve watched us create and launch new services, grow as a company, and flourish.
Sesame: What are 3 words to describe Sesame?
CC: Friendly, fun, and dedicated.
Sesame: What is your favorite part about working for Sesame?
CC: Our community: both coworkers and members are awesome. In the office, we’re a fun group of people that work hard and the members I get to talk to each day from across the country are great!
Sesame: Do you have an office nickname? What is it?
CC: One of the running jokes I share with our members is how many “Chris” names and variations we have around Sesame… I always emphasize I’m only one that starts with “C” so underline any that in any notes! As for an actual nickname? You say Jedi and I’ll respond.
Sesame: What would people never guess you do in your role?
CC: My role at Sesame is to help our members get started with all of our services. So staying on top of big trends with web design, SEO, domains, and social media is important. To do so, I work closely with every team at Sesame to ensure I know what’s going on in each field. We’ve got a lot of knowledgeable experts around here!
Also, one of the handy tools I use is actually called The Force – which I use daily.
Sesame: What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
CC: I love FOOD and, luckily, Seattle has an ever changing food scene so there’s always something new to try!
Sesame: Tell us one surprising fact about yourself
CC: Many moons ago, I was an extra on an episode of Frasier. For the 1000th episode, they actually filmed it in Seattle and I am in the group of girls chasing Frasier and Niles down the street. If you slow down the scene- you’ll find me!
